Greetings Fellow Cheapskate Playing Card Collectors!

My playing card collection started as out as an outgrowth of my interest in card magic and sleight of hand, but soon took on a life of its own. The purpose of this blog is to share both my passion and collection with others, as well as pass on some helpful tips and techniques that I’ve learned by experience on how to gather an impressive playing card collection as cheaply as possible.
I have heard it said that playing cards are a very inexpensive item to collect. This may or may not be true, depending on the type of playing card you wish to collect, and where you get them. You can amass a major collection for practically nothing just as gifts from friends and family, or spend hundreds for a single deck of cards such as a mint condition vintage deck of Jerry’s Nuggets from a dealer on the internet. We will discuss the almost countless varieties of playing cards you might wish to collect as well as various types of playing card collections (Its diversity is one of favorite things about this hobby!) and tell you exactly where you might be able to find them (hopefully for a bargain price). I also plan to spotlight a few of my favorite decks from my own personal collection, and even familiarize you with the lingo and terms you might encounter as you pursue your own amazing playing card collection.
